Safety supervisor reviewing a pre-task plan with a young construction worker

    Career Development

A Professional Pathway for Construction Safety Careers

Four levels that follow how safety professionals actually grow — from first credentials to leading programs across an organization.

    Planned practical learning

Build toward the work safety professionals do.

The pathways are in development. Proposed outcomes progress from recognizing hazards and contributing to pre-task planning to documenting inspections, investigating incidents, and leading safety conversations. These are intended learning goals, not a claim that training materials are complete.

    • Foundations: connect safety terminology and career preparation with everyday jobsite responsibilities.
    • Field practice: work through a task plan, identify exposures, and write actionable inspection findings.
    • Project responsibility: examine incident facts, consider contributing causes, and prioritize corrective actions.
    • Leadership: discuss expectations with supervisors and use field observations to guide safety priorities.

    Planned

Additional career services — not yet available.

Mentorship, resume reviews, interview coaching, and an optional SOS Safety Talent Network are planned for the future. They are not offered yet, and no registration is open.
