Workforce development
Build a shared approach to safety in the field.
The Academy is intended to help contractors connect training with the work their teams perform, rather than treat learning as a stand-alone activity. Proposed learning will emphasize realistic situations and the reasoning behind field decisions.
Develop supervisors
Planned scenarios will focus on leading pre-task conversations, recognizing changing hazards, selecting controls, and coaching crews through safety decisions.
Establish consistent expectations
The proposed training approach will reinforce a shared language for hazard recognition, inspections, incident reporting, and safety leadership across crews and projects.
Organize training records
Future Academy capabilities are planned to support training assignments, completion records, qualification tracking, and workforce reporting. These tools are not available in Phase 1.
Connect learning with consulting
Contractors can discuss current project needs with SOS now. Future Academy training is intended to complement consulting recommendations with workforce learning; no connected platform or automated reporting is available today.
